Scorcese - savior of films!
Wow, who knew?! Martin Scorcese has been quite involved in the preservation of classic films for a while now, and was in the news today in regards to his World Cinema Foundation. This foundation sets out to preserve international films, and Scorcese also started another foundation called The Film Foundation, which specifically works to preserve American film heritage. You GO, Martin Scorcese!! :)

That's so neat! Hooray for Martin Scorcese!
ReplyDeleteHe's one of the greatest people in film. He eats, drinks, lives, breathes film. If you've never seen his "Personal Journey" series, watch it. He showcases some amazing classic films that are off the beaten path.
ReplyDeleteScorsese has also produced some great documentaries about classic films, such as THE MAN IN THE SHADOWS which profiled Val Lewton.
